- der Aufsicht bei der Suche nach einem Endlager für hochradioaktive Abfälle und die Koordinierung der Öffentlichkeitsbeteiligung über
- atomrechtliche Genehmigungen bei Zwischenlagern und Transporten von Kernbrennstoffen,
- berg-, wasser- und atomrechtliche Verfahren bei der Endlagerung radioaktiver Abfälle bis zu
- Fragen der nuklearen Sicherheit und aufgabenbezogene Forschung in diesen Bereichen.

Um die abwechslungsreichen und interdisziplinären Aufgaben des BASE erfolgreich zu bewältigen, arbeiten bei uns Fachkräfte aus Physik, Politik-, Sozial- und Kommunikationswissenschaften sowie Rechts-, Geo-, Betriebs-, Ingenieurs- und Verwaltungswissenschaften.

2014 gegründet, hat das BASE 2016 seine Arbeit aufgenommen. Seitdem werden interne Strukturen und Arbeitsprozesse neu geschaffen und ausgestaltet oder an unsere wachsende Behörde angepasst. Durch Ihre Mitarbeit in der Aufbauphase prägen Sie die Kultur unserer Organisation nach innen sowie ihre Wahrnehmung in der Öffentlichkeit nach außen.
